Instructional design allows me to combine two of my greatest passions: thoughtful design and making complex ideas easier to understand.
My development approach is grounded in curiosity, clarity, and creativity. I dive deep into new topics quickly, ask the right questions, and translate complex clinical concepts into meaningful, memorable learning experiences. Every solution I create is designed with accessibility, brand alignment, and measurable impact in mind.
I recently earned my Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Instructional and Learning Design Technology from the University of Texas at Arlington, and I'm also a proud member of the Applied Instructional Design Academy (AIDA), where I’ve earned the following badges:
The Applied Instructional Design Academy certification is the culmination of a 9-month program called Applied Instructional Design Academy. It is earned after e-Learning Development, Instructional Design, Articulate Storyline, and Articulate Rise badges are completed. Learners complete 80+ lessons, receive extensive coaching, and complete a rigorous set of learning activities with practice, extensive feedback, multiple revisions, and the completion of simulated client projects.
I specialize in the design and development of customized eLearning solutions, I utilize Articulate 360, Storyline, and Canva to deliver:
Interactive e-Learning Modules: Engaging modules tailored to specific training needs, enhancing learner interaction and retention
Custom Course Design: Visually appealing and pedagogically sound courses
Graphic Design for Training Materials: Custom graphics and infographics to simplify complex information, boosting user engagement
Consultation and Strategy: Strategic planning to optimize training processes, such as revamping onboarding programs for a more streamlined experience
My services are designed to meet diverse training objectives and achieve measurable results.

In instructional design, two standout methodologies shape how we build learning experiences: ADDIE and SAM.
ADDIE is a traditional, linear model—Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation. It’s like following a roadmap: each phase is completed before moving to the next, offering structure and predictability.
SAM (Successive Approximation Model) is iterative and collaborative. It cycles through design, prototype, and review, allowing for continuous feedback and agile refinement—ideal for fast-paced or evolving projects.
Which is better? It depends on your goals and team dynamics. ADDIE provides clarity and control, while SAM offers flexibility and speed. Knowing when to use each empowers me to deliver the most effective learning solutions for you.
From Choir Director to Instructional Designer—A Journey Rooted in Creativity and Purpose
I spent over 12 years as a choir director, leading ensembles with passion and precision. During COVID, I faced a challenge: limited online resources made it difficult for my choir to learn and sing together. That frustration sparked a new path—creating e-Learning modules tailored for music literacy and choir instruction. What began as a solution for my own students quickly grew into a resource for other directors seeking accessible, structured online learning.
Before beginning my Master’s degree in Education, I earned a Bachelor of Music Education from Texas Christian University and pursued a Master of Music in Opera Performance at Oklahoma City University. As a proud Fort Worth native, I’ve had the privilege of performing throughout the metroplex with churches and civic organizations, sharing my deep love of music with the community.
When I’m not at rehearsal, you’ll find me spending time with my family and three cats, reading, playing old-fashioned board and card games, or indulging in a bit of shopping.
